Made in Morocco (“we”) runs this bilingual directory of Moroccan businesses in Manitoba. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and the choices you have. We follow the principles of Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- Business listings. When a business is submitted, we publish the business details provided (name, description, services, address, hours, public phone, email, website and social links). Please only submit information you are allowed to publish.
- Submitter details. The name and email of the person who submits a listing. These are never published; we use them only to verify and follow up on the listing.
- Messages. The name, email and message you send through our contact form.
- Newsletter. Your email address, if you subscribe. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email.
- Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical information (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure and working.
How we use it
To publish and maintain the directory, answer your messages, send the newsletter you asked for, and protect the site against spam and abuse. We do not sell or rent personal information.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us run the site (website hosting and email delivery), and only as needed for that purpose. Business pages may show an embedded Google map, which is provided by Google under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
Listings stay online until the business asks us to change or remove them. Submitter details and messages are kept only as long as needed to handle the listing or request.
Your choices
You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or to remove a listing you submitted, by writing to contact@thenorthernxtech.com. We reply within 30 days.
